It's important to know what you’re eating, it’s even more important to know what you are not eating. Great tasting figs grow on strong health trees and we start early in the cuttings life. We want you to know that all of our products are pesticide-free. We compost making our own soil that we mix w/sand and a premium organic peat moss. The fertility of our soil is tested by "The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station " in New Haven,Ct. The results will be posted yearly on this site and on FB. No chemicals are used, except for some rooting compound when cloning. We strive to make sure that you and your family can rest assured knowing that your fig tree is as healthy as possible. The sweet taste and color of your fig will testify to this and ..yes "tradition"
We wanted you to all know about all our trees we have on hand for you this season. But the "Smugglers Fig" has always sold out every year at our tree sales. But don’t worry our "bare root" stock will be available early spring. We strive to grow as natural as possible. Results are what count here. So when your healthy tree arrives you'll say, "My Italian Fig Tree is here!". Tell family and friends the figs on "my Italian fig tree will soon be ripe"...remember, "tradition, tradition".
Trees are shipped to your home in eco-friendly boxes that you can recycle. Fig trees are handled with care when packaged. Bare root cuttings are dormant when shipped. If you have any questions just give us call.
Our process here works. We continue to encourage the growth of our stock, using our naturally composted soils. Check the Results page for our soil fertility test. Our rooted clones become strong and health trees with great figs.
